Kiss Biscuits


Serves: 20

  • 125gm butter
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Four Roses Self raising flour
  • 1 cup Four Roses plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon of custard powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Jam to fill
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • hundreds and thousands sprinkles on top


Preparation: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ready in: 35 minutes

  • Preheat the oven to 180C. Line 3 large baking trays with baking paper
  • Cream butter and sugar
  • Add egg and beat well
  • Sift together flours, custard powder and salt and gradually add to the mix
  • Turn out onto some baking paper and kneed into a dough
  • Roll out to approximately 3mm thick and use cookie cutter to cut out rounds
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 7-10 minutes or until a plae golden color
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack
  • Join two rounds with Jam
  • Make icing simply by mixing 1 1/2 cups of icing sugar with 2 tablespoons of water, mixing well
  • Ice the top and sprinkle with hundreds and thousands
